A photo report from Tyumen about the Azanov family, in which both parents are blind
«It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye». Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
The greatest impression of this warm autumn was the invitation to visit from the Azanov family. On a late Friday night, the family met me as a close friend.
Kristina, deftly managing dinner and helping her little daughter to cope with the thin cutting of bread and sausage, told that she came to Tyumen with her husband. She met him in Biisk, in a rehabilitation center for the visually impaired. The girl is from the Irkutsk region, the guy is from Tyumen. But the distance overcame love. Laughing, the guys showed me how they corresponded using Braille. A year after the wedding, Katya's daughter was born. Fortunately, the child has a 100% vision.
«Well, now there is two suns in my life,» says Roma.
Double-quick having managed with serving, Katya ran to treat her father. Honestly, it is hard to say who fed whom, but both laughed. For real, it's very sunny, warm and bright family. And not only the furniture of bright colors tells about it, but also a «wall of honor» for little Katya, whose vocal success in the family is the thing to be proud of.
«So, what are you dreaming about now?» − «We just dreaming our lives to remain happy».
Christina is an accompanist by education; she composes music herself, plays piano and dreams of teaching her daughter to play piano too. But Katya prefers the flute. «Our whole life is subordinated, basically, to Katyushka's schedule, we live by it,» says Christina. «We managed time to travel, to participate in KVN and to work». Roma works at the enterprise for the visually impaired, and I am an administrator in our hostel for the blind and visually impaired». Their first new year in Tyumen, she and her husband made a wish: «Just to be happy,» and it seems that their dream came true.
